I put together various ideas when I created this image. It was difficult to get my concept drawn on bristol paper. Sometime, I let my mind clear out while my hand let the paintbrush flow across the paper. As I painted out the girl, I added dark color to express her sadness. Light color were added over her body so she would feel alive. Mainly, I wanted to illustrate a story about a sad girl filled with broken hearts. She couldn't tear her past away. The background focus lines and patterns into numerous direction. Though, I wanted a main focus on the girl. I made her standout even as she blend with the background.

Calla Lilies Painting
So, I recently created a personal painting that inspire me to paint more. I painted calla lilies over a 36x48 canvas for a person who wanted a special memory dedicated to her mother. I enjoyed the big canvas since I could recognize more details. I am inspire about my next project that I plan to enter in a local art competition.

New illustrations
I have to update my blog more so visitors can see my passion toward art. So, I have illustrations from my story The Girl Who Met the Dream Keeper. The story is about Haley Monray who's a normal high school student, though she has the ability to see dream essence. Everything changes, when dreams comes to life and she is revisit dream keeper, Dante. Reality and truth takes the best of everyone as they make sense of the strange world and deal with their own personal issues.
